Superpower: Superiority
The ability to surpass the powers and talents of others.
With this power, even the Hulk and Doomsday will have trouble! The moment you encounter someone with an ability that you can use, you will surpass all of their talents. "Anything you can do, I can do better" will no longer be a joke!
The good:
Become stronger, faster, and smarter than anyone!
Win at everything forever!
The bad:
You will become a real world Mary-sue/Gary-stu
Nobody likes a Mr. /Ms. Perfect

Comments:
Too ... much ... comments ... to ... read...
And no I truly don't at this point, I'll have to revise your comment when my mind consists of anything but half-awakeness..
yeah, I'll make a few more, too.
I'm tired and I'm making all these various random powers.. Expect about 8 from me to pop up tomorrow, rofl
you get my point...
Yes.. Me. I would still pick Power of Imagination.
THAT is also my point...to be entirely honest, I hate when folks make mary-sue characters (a guy who becomes stronger, faster and invulnerable when he senses fear, as well as the power to GENERATE fear, or the like) and perfect abilities short of omni powers. That's why Superiority can only overtake living subjects. If one with this power could adapt so that, falling off a building, he develops the power of flight, or the like, I don't think ANYONE would choose any other power
Perfection is a terrible word for people who design superpowers it means the ultimate ability has been created so that makes its useless to create anything that can compare to it I think that there should never be a perfect ability ,save omni since they are only for that purpose, else other abilities would be pointless Once I create an ability I am constantly thinking of ways that the ability can be flawed/countered
That's what I was tryna say...the only thing that is really a hitch are those abilities I just gave, a few others, and the fact that the user must confront another SUBJECT for this to work (being attacked by a bear, shot at, attacked by a superhuman...not stuff like being in outer space, falling off the side of a building or the like...that part sucks)
@ Shadow & Wish Lol.
My definition of surpassing would be evolutionizing an ability. You can make everything better without the negative effects. So in my opinion this ability is flawless.
BTW thanks Sini "homies"
The only powers that can't be adapted against are as follows... the "Omni" abilities (Omnipotence, Omniscience, Omnipresence), Superiority, Reactive Adaptation, VARIATIONS of Reactive Adaptation and passive abilities...and maybe a few others
Well, I guees if you also had the ability to develop secondary powers you would be nigh invincible unless the other person also has a god-tier ability that they use before you do such as the higher temporal/manipulation/automatic kill abilities Also one-shotting--if you die before the ability is copied then it is useless right.... you cant adapt after death or this would be totally broken!!
and how would Regeneration be used against the user to the point he'd have to adapt to it? If he DID, though, it would just speed up the regeneration, they wouldn't turn into different types of cells... I don't see the logic you're making.
@ Sini: thnx much, "homie", lol. @ Wish: srry, the power on AE (Activating Evolution) is a variation of Reactive Adaptation, meaning the user "adapts" to obtain a superior ability. Thus, Accelerated Brain Function would result in the development of brain cells that COULD go faster and STILL process the information. The user's abilities become better accompanied WITH the adaptation needed for such. (see, it doesn't explicitly mention secondary abilities, but it doesn't count them out, either)
Well.. I'm still waiting for power of imagination to be up for grabs again : >
Well the faster you think, the slower time seems to go. Eventually, you think so fast that time seems to stand still, and you can't move... Or (To be on topic) Some powers aren't great if they get boosted to far.
You two are so clever. Shadow, and Wish.. Your my homies.
I finally have the two abilities to beat this due to the fact this ability does not grant any secondary abilities someone might not have Regeneration by Manipulation of Genes If superiority manipulates the genes to the highest level of regeneration then the user of superiority will become cancer cells Accelerated Brain Function If the Brain's function is accelerated too much the body cannot keep up making superiority a curse Superiority does not entail secondary powers needed
If it DID make the user vastly stronger, then it would make the user TOO powerful...and besides, like I was telling alexander, powers can manifest in numerous different ways. Sometimes only a little, sometimes vastly beyond... I'm sure the mods will make the right choice and not make superiority too strong in the battle arena
Nonetheless what I mean is since the poster didn't specify that information it can generally go in any direction.
Wait, the article said it will only make the person barely stronger That doesn't make it as overpowered as I think it is since a small power difference doesn't really make the user of this power truly superior it just means the stats are a little higher If the original can score a critical or something happens by chance then this ability isn't perfect
Um, NO...I typed that article, so I know which conclusions to draw :D
Oh Shadow sometimes you have to use your opinion of imagination rather than base your conclusions on statements given to you by links : >
when would that ability ever come along? And, anyways, the power to make themselves weaker would only result in the user becoming STRONGER. This ability would outdo the foe, not outdo the foe's weakness by making the user WEAKER...wanna kno how I know? See Activating Evolution, where the power came from...look here http://theories.activatingevolution.org/swiki/wiki/index.php/Superiority
Well that would suck, wouldn't it, IWishIHadThis?
What if a person's power is to make themself weaker?
but if you fought someone else with this ability, you'd both suffer a wicked biological backlash (a jolting nerve-spasm) and both be knocked unconscious (both bodies would try to adapt to each other, and adapt, and adapt, and adapt, until it overloaded them)
that's an interesting question...if a power nullifier gets within range, some would say that the power would be negated and that would be that, but others might say that the superior would outdo the true power-negator's powers and negate his for a longer period of time or permanently...I think it depends on the user's genes or something...
i remember reading about this super power on a negation comic book. this guy had a sigil that let him do this power. it was really impressive and he gained and kept powers that he obtained.
What happens if you fight another person with Superiority?
I think you would just cancel each other out. So you'd be just about the same power level.
An even better question: What happens if you come a cross another person with Superiority?
Ouch. That would suck.
That makes me wonder, what if you come across an android or better a terminator?

lol thesentence
You could still be injured by non-super powered people and things right? Like a bomb would still kill you right?
My assumption is that a power nullifier will nullify this power.
Zaleramancer is asking a good question there. What IF a power nullifier comes near you? Will you copy his power so good it will nullify your abilities for good?
Sounds like the power for me.
What if a power nullifier comes near you?
