The ability to use traits from animals
Think of it this way, you wanna be like spider-man without having to be bitten by a radioactive spider. Now you can by being empathic to spiders. But it get's better. You can combine species. Grow limbs with lizard power, have chameleon sight. Have radar sense of a dolphin. Almost anything is possible with this power. You just have to know about the animal and then bam! You can use its power.
The good:
A lot of potential
Can use any animal. Even the extinct ones.
Combine powers (spider's eyes with chameleon sight), had one to sneak up on.
The bad:
You can't turn into the animal.
You can't use mythical creature's power because they don't exist.
You might have to do a lot of reseach before you go into battle with this power.

I agree with 667, very similar to Evolutionary Armor. But differences might be that you'd have to be empathic to the species and can add as much mass to your body as you'd like. Hard to become Spider-Man (with this power) if you hate/are afraid of spiders. Not a problem with Evolutionary Armor. Different from Animal Mimciry since you actually have the animal parts with that power, with this power you only have the bailities

Couldn't you use the mythical creature's power if you combined certain animals to make them?
