Superpower: Geokinesis
The ability to manipulate rocks, soil, and earth
Geokinetics can turn the ground they stand on into a weapon. They can mentally cause rocks to levitate, cause shockwave damage with a seismic stomp, and even know where the fault lines in an area are.
The good:
Looks awesome
Can bring down a building in all of two seconds
Become the best constructor ever
The bad:
Useless against metals
Useless against processed earth, i.e. bricks
Useless if seperated from ground

Haha, yeah, I'm sure he meant processed earth. POSSESSED earth is not anything you can take control of. Sand being overshadowed by demons? Thats some scary crap...
If that is true then would breaking up processed earth work a la Gaara? He used sand to break apart earth so he could have more sand to use since he could only control sand.
Processed earth, is any kind of dirt/rock/soil that has been processed through a machine and is not "raw" earth anymore. Bricks and stuff.

What is possessed earth?
well, that and www.animeseason.com. Srsly tho, not digging this whole "wait a couple days for new powers to turn up" kick; I'm getting anxious to see how y'all like what I've added...
Yes thats enough anime to keep anyone busy for YEARS.
omg.......there are so many anime......you sir are my new best friend.
Enjoy!

i will have to find the show online, it sounds like something i would watch
Yeah, how long have those powers been there now? a day?
THAT would be some scary stuff. Haha. The episode Suki helped Sokka bust out of that fire nation prison? Oh, yeah, she was beyond awesomeness. Hey, speaking of awesomeness, when are the new powers gonna be fresh out the oven?
Then theres the Kyoshi Warriors.. Man i would HATE to have to fight them. Imagine an army of Kyoshi Warriors...
I'm okay with being nerdy; haha, nerd or not, Kyusho-jutsu is awesome (so what if I know what Ty Lee's martial art is called?). So is nearly-superhuan shuriken-throwing accuracy. Mai and Ty Lee, if they lived in this era in this universe, would be among the most dangerous assassins alive, if not THE most dangerous. Love martial artists, love elemental manipulation, love weird made-up creatures, love Combustion Man, love Toph's earth-based blindsight, love the series. Case and point.
WOW, we sound so nerdy! HA.... Its still AWESOME!
Ty Lee! Just a few little punches and suddenly you can't move.
Oh, yes, Mai, Ty Lee, Appa, Momo, oh, loved it. I only wish there was a season four. Air.... restore the airbenders, or restore peace to the world, or at least find out what the heck happened to Zuko's mama. Dang, so sad...
Toph was aweome! And Mai, Iroh, Momo. I wish they would continue it.. It feels.. Incomplete.
Yeah, ATLA was great but kinda wish they had a season 4 cause the ending left so many loose ends....
Hehe, Bumi! He's the business... But no srsly, love the series. Toph is all that and a bag of Lotus tiles... Katara, Aang, Zuko, even Azula's evil self. Loved 'em. And the ENDING...aw, man. Wonderful. The bending, the martial arts, the plot, the animals, the series progression. OH, man, so awesome...
Well, it would be difficult to say anything without ruining the story... My favorite character is a crazy old earth bending king..
Talking as an amateur storyteller, a martial artist, and a upper-middle-tier writer, the series is awesome. The writers throw nothing away--the White Lotus Tile is an great Chekov's gun. The Bending is rooted in definite martial arts; every once in a while I'll see a move that came from one of my katas. And the world they are in draws inspiration from EVERYWHERE, from the Shaolin Massacre to the hippies of the 1960's. WHD, it's no ordinary kid's show. Trust me.
airbender
Avatar the last airbender? Or the one with the aliens?
i have never seen avatar. how are the characters? i seen the trailer for the movie that is coming out soon, it does look pretty good.
Old enough to remeber when the hubble was put in orbit? Anyway, I liked Avatar to. Anyone who doesn't will have an air bison sit on them!
Twenty-something. That's lazy people math. Now what do you have against Avatar: The Last Airbender again? It provides awesome illustrations on the use of electrokinesis (electricity manipulation- the last season), geokinesis (earth manipulation), pyrokinesis (fire manipulation), hydrokinesis (water manipulation), aerokinesis (air/wind manipulation), psammokinesis (sand manipulation), metallokinesis (metal manipulation) and it does it all quite beautifully. I agree that the plot is awesomeness...
I'm five years too old to lie to myself and call it honor. LOL, read that somewhere. I'd rather not say, but judging from my comments here and on the forum, I drive to work and university (same or different thing?), and consider myself too old to read comics and watch animated series, but not too old to watch superhero series or films. And X-Men/Spider-Man TAS is youth sentiment for me. You do the math.
Err... How old are you WHD?
No offense or anything, but I don't read comics or watch anime series anymore. I think I'm too old for that (my thoughts about only my situation). Don't care if you do it, that's fine by me. I watched X-Men The Anime Series (TAS) and Spiderman TAS last year again(youth sentiment), but I didn't enjoy it that much, so I only stick to live action TV series (Heroes, Smallville etc.) and live action movies (Iron Man 2, Prince of Persia).
Oh yeah. If I may reveal my nerdiness, check out a kickin' little series called Avatar the Last Airbender. Not only does it provide solid visualizations of Geokinesis...it's a really really good story.
I guess so, if you can use it as a weapon. Use rocks as shield or, if you're very powerful, cause the earth to stack up and form a shield of mud, earth, ground etc. Or shape the stacked earth like a hand to grab/immobilizze your enemies.
Dextin Cory Montgomery (anonymous) (4/23/2010 at 11:27 p.m.)
Can you make a shield from the earth?
NO. This ability deals with the mineral rather than the vegetable. I realize that some "classical element charts" might classify plants/trees/fungi as part of the planet--but they are ALIVE. And the dirt is not.
wat about plants
On the upshot, you could dig fifteen miles into the earth's crust looking for gold on your lunch break, so you could still get money out of it. =)
Geokinesis is more about manipulating raw earth than the materials that make it up. Like, there might be trace amounts of iron, phosphorous, etc. in some dirt that you can control. That's all right. But if you try to control just iron, you'll be unable to. Same as for processed earth like bricks; if it's not raw, nothing will happen.
It's not useless against prossesed earth or metal...they're still propities of earth.
