The Superpower List - A growing list of superpowers, created by you. Dream the impossible.
Superpower: Hydrokinesis
The ability to mentally manipulate liquids
Water is everywhere. Imagine being able to control it. Creating crushing geysers, floating streams, and even using water pressure to cut through things is in the range of a Hydrokinetic.
The good:
Very versatile
Powerful and shocking to watch
Can be used to manipulate bodily fluids (to degree)
The bad:
Cannot create water
Cannot destroy water
Cannot manipulate more than 100,000 gallons effectively

Is it only water or all liquids? The overview says liquids and I'd like it to be liquids, so you can also control tears, rain, battery acid, blood, tree sap, honey, milk, lava, petrol etc. besides water.

That one seems primarily to be a combination of heat absorption, heat touch and freeze touch or something. I thought Temperature Manipulation had to do with manipulating the atoms in the air and thus changing the temperature in general (but with experience, can be appllied to single objects) - not absorbing heat and only being able to use the power when you've absorped heat. Don't read the most important parts of Temperature Manipulation in FreezeHeat's power. But that's just my two cents.

Yeah, Temperature Manipulation is on the site. Also, BA-DUNN TISSSHHH

How can you be sunnk if there's no water around? Nothing? Hmmm, tough crowd. Is there already something like Zestokinesis(Temperature manipulation)? Thanks for explaining all those apsects of this power.

@Dextin: If the air is too dry to pull water from and the ground is parched, you're sunk. Fortunately, this is a rare occasion--even deserts have dew and fog. @WHD: If supercharging was used on Hydrokinesis, the user would have a much larger area from which to draw water and would have more control over that water. And this power allows intense control over water even at base state--that 1 gallon could be a knife or a makeshift handcuffs or a chokehold.

What if your not around any type of water?

What if ability amplify or supercharging is used on this ability? I realize I post a lot of comments about his power, but I just want to be sure what this power can do precisely. I consider using this one in the Battle Arena, but only if it can create water (as I thougth it could). Sure, water is a common resource, but what use is for example 1 gallon of water against a pyrokinetic? (pulling water up from pipelines may take too much energy and/or time to be helpful).

I consider the "molecule vibration=heat" more under the jurisdiction of Temperature Manipulators. Pyrokinetics shoot ACTUAL FIRE out their limbs by some kind of inner energy...Hydrokinetics deal with water in the environment, so yes, they could pull water from thin air--but not enough for major attacks.
WishIHadThis  (4/03/2010 at 6:31 p.m.)
Hmm... I had the impression that pyrokinetics increased the vibrations of the atmosphere to create heat and thus fire and for the water shooting, he probably absorbed water from the atmoshphere or stored compressed water(no air bubbles)
Sini  (4/03/2010 at 3:59 p.m.)
Because WHD, water is a common resource and fire is not. It would only be fair to allow Pyrokinetics to create fire considering it isn't as common as water.
WHD  (4/03/2010 at 1:58 p.m.)
Why can pyrokinetics create fire while hydrokinetics can't create their element? Hydro man can also create water. While it is true that his body becomes water and he can manipulate it, he can also turn only his hand into water and fire off a stream of water (thus creating water) while he doesn't absorb water or his body distorts.

You could kill people. Just expand the water in the cells, and POP! Dead human.
